Introducing Teams for Grain: Meeting Intelligence That Matches Your Organization
If you've been using Grain for a while, you've probably noticed something: auto-sharing is great, but it can feel like drinking from a firehose. When everyone in your workspace sees every auto-shared recording, the signal gets lost in the noise.
Teams changes that. Now you can create groups that automatically share the right meetings with the right people: sales teams see sales calls, product squads see team meetings, executives see what they need without the day-to-day clutter.
What Are Teams?
Teams let you organize your workspace into groups that match how you actually work. Each team has its own auto-sharing rules, auto-record settings, and content library. When you record a meeting, it automatically shares to your team based on rules you define. Team members see only what matters to them, not everything happening across the organization.
Four Key Capabilities
Team-level permissions: Set automation rules for specific groups instead of everyone at once. When admins create teams, they control the auto-share and auto-record settings for just those members.
Public and private teams: Make content discoverable across the org or keep sensitive content within specific groups.
Subscribe to teams: Users can join only one team but subscribe to others, getting access without the noise. Perfect for managers overseeing multiple teams or executives who need visibility without involvement in every meeting. Admins can also add subscribers to private teams.
Multi-team sharing: Meetings automatically share to all relevant teams based on who attended. You can also manually share across teams when collaboration requires it.
Built for How You Work
For large organizations: A VP of Sales can subscribe to East Coast, West Coast, and Enterprise sales teams, getting coaching insights and access to key meetings across all regions without being a member of each team or having full admin rights.
For cross-functional teams: Product managers working cross-functionally can share different meetings with different contexts. Customer discovery goes to Product and Design teams, engineering syncs stay with Engineering, executive updates go to Leadership.
For sales teams: Create private teams for strategic accounts and open teams for shared best practices. Use subscriptions so managers can maintain visibility for coaching without cluttering everyone's feed.
How It Works
Admins create teams (open or private) with their own sharing rules. Add members who contribute recordings, or add subscribers for view-only access. As meetings get recorded, they flow to the right teams automatically. If a meeting isn't auto-shared, you can manually share it using the share button.
Plan Availability
Starter Plans: Get one team to organize your workspace and establish auto-sharing rules.
Business & Enterprise Plans: Create unlimited teams, use private teams for sensitive content, and leverage advanced features like private subscriptions and multi-team sharing.
All plans benefit from the improved clarity and organization that teams provide, whether you're a solo user getting started or an enterprise with hundreds of users.
